Councillor Samantha McArthur said, “It’s important for our local area, our health and our beautiful area that we do what we can to protect stretches of Wimbledon Park. That’s why the Lib Dems are again calling on the council to enforce the covenant which gave the land to the residents of Merton. Again in February Merton Labour have failed to back residents and our environment by voting down Lib Dem demands to enforce the covenant.”
