Raynes Park Little League have been running a free football league in our area every Saturday for 50 years. It is open to any child, any ability, any background
Up to now they have used a public park, the Sir Joseph Hood Memorial Playing Fields, for free.
This year, Merton council has handed maintenance of the park to a private company called IDverde. The company has plans to start charging the Little League up to £4000 a year to play. This means the popular league will have to bring in charges, penalising hard-pressed parents and putting the future of the league at risk.
Sign our petition to tell Council bosses and IDVerde to keep Little League free for all, and stop these plans.
We the undersigned call on Merton Council bosses and IDVerde to keep Little League free for all, and stop plans to charge the League to use the Sir Joseph Hood Memorial Playing Fields.
We will include your name and postcode when submitting the petition.
