Merton Council: Support the legal action to Save Wimbledon Police Station

As many of you know, the Mayor of London is trying to close Wimbledon Police Station, along with over half the police stations across London, after what was described by the independent Consultation Institute as "the worst consultation of 2017". This decision is currently subject to a judicial review challenging the legality of the consultation.

It is important that people are permitted to exercise their right to be properly consulted and listened to before decisions are made that affect their daily lives.

That's why Liberal Democrat councillors are trying to call an emergency council meeting to ask Merton Council to join the court case. Please sign our petition calling on local councillors from all parties to continue fighting to maintain a police station in Wimbledon.

We, the undersigned, call on Merton Council to back the court case against the Mayor of London's flawed consultation on police station closures.

We will include your name when submitting the petition.
