Brian Paddick, former Police Commander for the London Borough of Lambeth and Merton and Liberal Democrat Mayoral Candidate, formally launched his campaign to become Mayor of London today at an event in Central London.

The rally also launched the Lib Dem campaign to elect candidates to the Greater London Authority, including Caroline Pidgeon, Brian's nomination for Deputy Mayor. Other candidates include Shas Sheehan, GLA List Candidate and previously Lib Dem Wimbledon candidate at the 2010 General Election, and Lisa Smart, London Assembly Candidate for Merton and Wandsworth and prominent local campaigner. Speakers at the event included Party President, Tim Farron MP, and Deputy Leader, Simon Hughes MP.
