Residents gathered in force outside the Worple Road Methodist Church on 28 March to demonstrate against the waste processing and energy generating plant proposed at the Rainbow Industrial Estate in Raynes Park.

The developer, Workspace Glebe, were showcasing their plans and had invited the public so they could express their views.

Shas Sheehan, Lib Dem Parliamentary Campaigner said: "This proposal is flawed on both environmental and planning grounds and will condemn residents to live with the local problems it will generate, whilst the developer pockets huge profits."
