"Who currently represents YOU on the London Assembly?", asks Shas Sheehan, Lib Dem candidate for the Merton & Wandsworth seat at this year's Assembly elections. 

"It's very difficult to find anyone who knows, because both the Tories and Labour take people for granted and don't try to communicate," she adds, "If elected, I will not be the invisible representative for Wandsworth & Merton. I pledge to fight for my constituents and tell them what I'm doing through newsletters and online."

Shas has strong local roots. After her parents moved to the UK from Pakistan, she was brought up in Tooting, and now lives in Putney.

"Shas is a fantastic campaigner, and will fight hard for local people," says Chair of Merton Liberal Democrats, Anthony Fairclough, "I've yet to find anyone who knows about anything the current Tory has done; it's time for a change here in Merton and across London."
