A little bit about Diana

Diana worked for eight years in local government. Over that period, she held responsibility for housing, planning & regeneration, secondary education, sport & leisure, culture & the arts and young people, in a unitary authority. A particular focus of her work was in the area of community engagement, establishing and providing leadership for local resident action and liaison group, community programmes and multi-agency partnerships.

Her local government experience is balanced by a similar period working in the private sector. Responsible for the establishment of a marketing services team in the industrial services sector, Diana has also worked in financial PR in a British-based multi-national organisation. Her communications experience covers literature production, media relations, crisis management, advertising, corporate ID, employee communications, hospitality events, exhibitions and parliamentary PR. She has also been a contributor to a trade journal.

Diana has also established and run a specialist retail business, commissioning an IT system to manage a complex customer ordering and stock management system.

In her consultancy, Diana provides support for organisations working in the public sector facing commercial or operational challenges, focusing on structures and team building, service development and marketing and communications and community relations. Diana is personally involved in leading small community groups fundraising and campaigning on local and environment issues and chairs a cross-Party multi-agency public/private partnership management committee supporting a specialist sports facility for young people.

In 2003 she competed in the Fastnet Race.

She has studied office and business administration and community, personal and political leadership.
