October 2008 - Mitcham & Morden Lib Dems select Parliamentary candidate:
At a packed meeting, Diana Coman was selected as the Liberal Democrat candidate for the next General Election. Diana was previously a councillor in Sutton where she held a number of leadership roles. Diana was born in St Helier Hospital, grew up in Merton and has lived in Wimbledon and Sutton. She has a keen interest in local history and politics, the environment and community relations. January 2008 - Local Tories want massive pay increase: The Wimbledon Guardian reports that Conservative councillors have voted to increase their allowances by 28% despite needing to make millions of pounds of cuts to local services.
